Tafaro: a high density suburb outside Harare

I left Harare Friday evening.  That day, after my meeting in the morning, I went with Louanna to Tafaro to drop off her builders for the weekend, and to see if we could source some maize meal, which luckily, we did.

- The picture at the top is of a man wearing a ZANU PF scarf and Mugabe shirt.  It's always hard to know who is a supporter, and who is simply wearing the paraphernalia because they were given a new clean, white shirt.
- The following 2 pictures were taken at the entrance to Tafaro, as women make their way to the UNICEF water trucks
- The fourth picture shows women and children leaving Tafaro, with their washing on their heads, as well as full containers of water.
- The fifth picture was taken whilst parked on the side of the road, waiting for maize meal.  It's a view of downtown Tafaro, the shops, including Power Sales
